A venue I know well

I have played The Kingscote Barn plenty of times. It is a beautiful 17th-century barn with one big advantage for a party: no noise restrictions at all.

So when you book me, you are not getting a DJ seeing the room for the first time on the day. The set-up, the timings, the way the energy carries from dinner to the last song. I have done it here before, and I will do it for you.

No noise restrictions

Kingscote has no sound limiter and no noise restrictions in the main barn, which is rare for a barn this old. It means I can run a full, proper night without anything cutting the volume.

Music until half twelve

Music and the bar run until 12:30am, with everyone away by 1am, and extensions are available. I build the set so the floor peaks at the right time.

I know the valley

It is down a mile-long private drive into its own valley, with a fixed oak dance floor in the main barn. I know the room, the access and exactly how it fills.

How early do you get there to set up?
Access to the barn is from 10:30am on the morning, so I am set up, tested and ready well before your guests arrive.
Can we have confetti?
Confetti at Kingscote is arranged through the venue, dried petals inside and dried lavender outside, to protect the old barn. They sort it with you, and bubbles are an option too.
Do they allow haze and foggers?
Haze is what makes the lighting look incredible, and I run my CO2 effects for the big moments. Heavier smoke I always clear with the team first, as the barn has an alarm system.
Is there a sound limiter?
No sound limiter and no noise restrictions in the main barn, which is genuinely rare for a barn. Music and the bar run until 12:30am, with extensions available.
Any other restrictions worth knowing?
A few to know: sparklers are allowed in winter only and arranged in advance, fireworks are through the venue’s supplier, and there is no smoking inside the barn.
Anything to be aware of for a party here?
The main barn has soaring vaulted ceilings and a fixed oak dance floor built for a band or DJ. It is down a mile-long private drive in its own valley, and up to 50 guests can stay on site, so nobody has to rush off.
