The difference
A DJ fills the floor.
The sax is what they film.
It’s the same party I’d DJ anyway, with live sax played right over the top, and percussion too if you want it. Soft and easy through dinner, then loud over the dance tracks when the floor’s going. All live, all in time with whatever I’m mixing, and it’s the bit people pull their phones out for.

Early on the sax is soft and easy, the sort of thing you’d hear in a good bar. Later it’s up loud over the dance tracks. Same player, very different gear.

Live sax playing quietly behind your drinks reception and meal. Relaxed, a bit jazzy, nothing in your face.

On the dancefloor
Now the sax is loud over the dance tracks, with percussion on top. This is the part people end up filming on their phones.
On the floor
When the sax comes in, the room goes up.
A track everyone knows, and then a live sax over the top of it. That’s the moment people talk about the next day.
Sorting it out
Nothing for you to organise.
You don’t have to organise any of it. I work out the timings with the musicians. You just turn up and enjoy it.

Andy Lead
Andy’s the main sax player. He’s played weddings, festivals and clubs for years, and he can go from quiet and smooth to full volume when the floor’s busy.
Percussion
Alex Lead
Alex plays live percussion over the top of the DJ set. Bongos, congas and the like, in time with the tracks. Put him with the sax and the dancefloor really goes for it.
I’ve also got James and a few other musicians I trust, so I can put together anything from one sax player up to a full band. Tell me what you’re after and I’ll put it together.

The app I use for the DJ side covers the live music too. Tell me the songs you love and the feel you’re after, and I’ll time the sax and percussion to land at the big moments. You give me the vibe, I run the night.

Most couples keep the sax quiet until it happens. One minute it’s a DJ set, the next there’s a sax player in the middle of the floor and everyone’s up.

These sit on top of any DJ package, which start at £1,295. Packages are £100 off Monday to Thursday, though the live-music add-ons stay full price. A 40% deposit secures the date.
