A venue I know well

I have played Cripps Barn plenty of times. Flagstone floors, beams, a serious Funktion-One sound system and a licence until 1am. It is built for exactly the kind of night I love to play.

So when you book me, you are not getting a DJ seeing the room for the first time on the day. The set-up, the timings, the way the energy carries from dinner to the last song. I have done it here before, and I will do it for you.

Funktion-One, and a 1am licence

Cripps has a state-of-the-art in-house Funktion-One sound system and a late licence until 1am. I bring my own rig and know how to get the most out of a room that is genuinely built for sound.

I read the room, not a playlist

I have watched this floor fill enough times to know when to push and when to hold. The set is built around your night and your crowd, on the night, not from a list sent weeks before.

I know the barn

Flagstone floors, low beams, the stone fireplace and the way the room sits. I know where the booth goes, how the floor fills, and how to keep it full to the last song.

How early do you get there to set up?

I arrive in good time to load in, set up and soundcheck, so everything is tested and ready well before your guests arrive. I confirm exact access timings with the Cripps team beforehand.

Can we have confetti?

Biodegradable petals are the usual at a barn like Cripps. I will always confirm the exact policy with the team so you can plan the throw.

Do they allow haze and foggers?

Haze is what makes the lighting look incredible, and I run my CO2 effects for the big moments. Heavier smoke I always clear with the team first, as the barn has an alarm system.

Is there a sound limiter?

Cripps runs its own state-of-the-art Funktion-One system and a late licence until 1am, so it is genuinely built for a big, full sound. I bring my own rig to match it.

Any other restrictions worth knowing?

Cripps uses roaring fires and candles as part of its own look, so the atmosphere is built in. I will confirm specifics like sparklers and anything fixed to the old barn with the team.

Anything to be aware of for a party here?

Flagstone floors, beams and a stone fireplace inside, plus an outdoor Oak Pavilion, terrace and fire pits. The Funktion-One system and 1am licence make it one of the best barns around for a proper party.
